Dengan modal pertama Rp. 500.000,00,-(Lima Ratus Ribu Rupiah)
Karena Lambung Pitih Nagari Sangat baik untuk membantu perkembangan ekonomi masyarakat, maka LPN Pagaruyung di ajukan untuk menjadi BPR LPN Pagaruyung. Pada tanggal 25 oktober 1990 dikeluarkan oleh Mentri Keuangan Republik Indonesia surat keputusan tentang izin usaha sebagai Bank Perkreditan Rakyat LPN Pagaruyung dengan No Kep-45/KM.13/1990 tanggal 25 Oktober 1990.
Dengan surat keputusan resmilah Lambung Pitih Nagari menjadi Bank Perkreditan Rakyat LPN Pagaruyung. Dengan adanya bantuan modal pinjaman dari BPD sumatra barat dengan total pinjaman 12.500,00; (Dua Belas Juta Lima Ratus Ribu Rupiah) maka BPR Pagaruyung berkembang semakin baik.
BPR LPN Pagaruyung dapat kepercayaan dari Bank Indonesia untuk mendapatkan pinjaman modal kerja sebesar 25.000.000; (Dua Puluh Lima Juta). Sejak 1998 BPR LPN Pagaruyung semakin berkembang dengan baik sehingga telah mencapai rencana kerja yang telah di targetkan untuk tahun 1999 BPR LPN Pagaruyung telah menampakkan dirinya di kota Batusangkar sesuai dengan keputusan bersama.
Tanggal 11 agustus 2006 BPR LPN Pagaruyung berubah menjadi PT. BPR Pagaruyung yang di tetapkan oleh Mentri Hukum dan HAM RI Nomor C-23656 HT01.01/2006 Tanggal 11 Agustus 2006. SK PBI Padang No. 8/6/KEP.PBI.PDG/2006, tanggal 02 November 2006. Setelah mendapatkan pengesan dan mendapatkan pengesahan dan perubahan nama dari Depertemen dan HAM PT. Bank Perkreditan Rakyat Pagaruyung yang kantor pusat beralamatkan di jalan kinantan No.22 Jati Batusangkar.
Setelah itu pada tahun 2007 PT.BPR Pagaruyung mendirikan Kantor Cabang di Padang Panjang yang kantor awalnya di depan kantor Pengadilan Negri Padang Panjang sampai dengan tahun 2009 dengan jumlah karyawan 4 orang. Kemudian pada bulan november 2009 pindah ke jalan Jendral Sudirman No.15 Pasar Usang Padang Panjang dengan karyawan 7 orang.
Selain itu Bank Perkreditan Rakyat Pagaruyung telah memiliki 3 kantor kas yakni :

dan sampai sekarang PT. Bank Perkreditan Rakyat Pagaruyung telah memiliki 1 (satu) kantor Pusat, 1 (satu) Kantor Cabang dan 3 (tiga) tiga kantor kas.
